10 Foods for Your Fur-Baby

Woof! I’m Gracie and I love to eat. Not my dog food, mind you. That stuff isn’t my favorite. Your food. That’s some good stuff! I’m not picky either. I will eat just about whatever I can get my paws on.

Woof!

But what food is safe for me to eat? While some foods, like chocolate and grapes, are toxic – don’t remind me of my chocolate experience please…it’s a bad memory – other foods are good for me.

My Food List

Here’s my list of 10 foods you can give me or your pup (although there is one on here I don’t really like).

  1. Apples. While it’s a healthy food for us pups, I eat apples in moderation since it sometimes upsets my tummy. I don’t get any skin, just bite-sized pieces.
  2. Blueberries. I only got to eat this once. Apparently, I was too messy when I ate this. But, I can tell you that blueberries were delicious. Maybe I can have a dog treat with these in them?
  3. Carrots. A healthy snack that I enjoy. And, it’s great for my dental health! Since I’m a small (but mighty) pup, carrots are cut into bite-sized pieces for me.
  4. Cheese. One of my favorites! To my dismay, I only get cheese in moderation.
  5. Corn. Another healthy food, as long as you don’t give me the cob.
  6. Eggs. I love eggs. I get a small plate whenever my family has eggs.
  7. Green Beans. While I personally don’t like green beans (I actually spit it out when I was given one to try), it is a safe food for us pups. Just keep it plain, without any seasoning.
  8. Popcorn. Another favorite of mine. Just be sure to avoid giving me kernels since I could choke on that part.
  9. Pork. Did someone say pork? I really love pork. It’s my favorite meat and I go crazy for it!
  10. Salmon. This is good for me. I hear it’s filled with lots of good stuff. I don’t get to eat this as much as I would like.

What are your favorites? I’d love to hear what you like in case I want to try it. Woof!

Before giving your fur-baby any food, please consult with your vet to make sure it is ok for their health and diet.
