Woof! It’s me, Gracie. How have you been? I am good. I had sun butter dog cake that was made JUST FOR ME! WOOF! Can you tell I’m pretty happy about that?
You see, it’s my birthday. And, I’ve been spoiled a lot. Considering I had to sit still and take a lot of pictures wearing some goofy hat, I think it’s a fair trade off. Back to my birthday – I’m five years old to you humans, but I’m really a lot older in dog years. But don’t fret, I still act very puppy-ish…woof-woof!
Birthday Princess
As you can see, my humans get a kick out of dressing me up every now and again. That includes wearing silly hats like this one. I won’t even show you what other hats besides “Birthday Princess” I had to wear to entertain my family. Don’t worry, I did get a homemade biscuit as my reward for being a good girl.
Sun Butter Dog Cake
Did you know that a safe alternative to peanut butter is Sun Butter? It is and I’m here to tell you its good! If you don’t need to worry about who your fur baby will be licking later on, and if there are no nut allergies in your home, you can substitute peanut butter for the sun butter in both the cake and frosting instead. And as a bonus, I also got a new squeeze toy! Best. Day. Ever!
Follow the recipe to make this nut-free sun butter cake and frosting.
Decorate your cake any way you like, just don’t forget to put a squeeze toy for your fur pup too. I’m sure your furry friend will thank you for it.
