Cheesy Dog Treats

Did someone say cheese???? Gracie here…woof! I LOVE CHEESE! It’s so yummy. I know what you are asking… can dogs eat cheese? The answer is yes, dogs can each cheese but my vet told me that I shouldn’t eat too much, which makes me sad. Thankfully, I do get to eat some cheese every now and then. My human says a little in moderation is OK. Not sure what she’s actually getting at…I just love it when I get some cheese. And luckily, my human made me these cheesy dog treats that I really enjoy! I know you’ll like them too.

Cheese Facts

Cheesy Dog Treat!

Yes, we can eat cheese. I personally love cheese and my other furry friends do too. But we can’t eat a lot of it. Apparently it is high in fat, so we have to eat it sparingly. I personally don’t like that since it means I can’t eat it daily, but I do want to stay healthy for my humans. So I trust them to do what’s best for me.

Be sure to let your human know that there are some great benefits to eating cheese. Cheese contains
calcium, which is good. It also has protein, essential fatty acids and vitamins that we can use. Let them know that low fat cheese, like mozzarella, is a good choice.

Motivate with Cheese

And while my human family thinks I don’t know what they are up to, sometimes if I have to take a pill, they hide it in cheese. I don’t care, since I’m getting cheese. But, it is a good way for them to take care of me when and if I need medication. Don’t tell them I know what they are really doing…I just want the cheese!

It’s also a great motivator for teaching me tricks. My humans seem to really get a kick out of me sitting down or shaking hands in exchange for a small bite of cheese. I’m sure these cheesy dog treats will be used to get me to do some tricks. So, play along for the treat. You’ll be glad you did.
